REBUILDING HOMES, HOPE AND STABILITY IN UKRAINE

OUR MISSION

Project Nadiya is an international nonprofit organization aiming to provide semi-permanent and permanent housing, as well as opportunities for social and economic integration for families in Ukraine who have been displaced as a result of Russia's aggression.

The ongoing refugee crisis is now a housing crisis that we hope to help alleviate.

OUR GOALS AND OBJECTIVES

1

MEDIUM AND LONG TERM HOUSING

In Q2 of 2022 we established dialogue with local communities to determine their needs and identify a set of pilot projects. We are partnering with local construction companies, and architects in order begin construction/installation work for temporary and semi-permanent housing as soon as possible, to be completed before winter. This will be done in collaboration with local communities and partners, and supported by charitable and government funding.

2

SOCIAL AND ECONOMIC INTEGRATION

We consider it key to not only secure housing but to ensure social and economic integration of displaced families into the local community. In Q3 in collaboration with partner organizations we intend to work with IDPs to ensure their access to jobs, to requalification and educational programs. Our intention is to to elevate their skill sets and earning potential which will also benefit local communities.

3

TRANSPARENCY AND SCALABILITY

A central goal is to project and foster international-standard practices of a well-managed, technically competent, transparent entity. We aim to implement a pilot project in Q3 which will become a model that can be scalable throughout the country.

WHY US?

SMALLER SCALE, GREATER IMPACT

We focus on small and medium-scale projects that can make it feasible to rebuild quickly, and not to compete with larger construction firms that will be undertaking longer term, more complex infrastructure projects such as bridges, airports, apartments or municipal buildings.

BEST PRACTICES AND FINANCIAL TRANSPARENCY

One of our main goals is to project and foster international business practices of a well-managed, technically proficient builder using energy efficient and ecologically sound designs and methods. Our operations will be audited to ensure that funds are used in compliance with the purposes for which they were raised.

COLLABORATIVE EXPERTISE

Project Nadiya recognizes that each community will have its own needs, requirements, and local expertise, thus the approach at each location will be flexible and adapted to specific purposes.

We expect to use Ukrainian professional and academic talents in architecture, engineering city planning, and construction to produce pleasing living environments built to modern construction standards.

Further, we intend to create local employment opportunities and train a professionally skilled construction workforce.

SCALABLE MODEL

As a construction management company, Project Nadiya expects to foster a cadre of building subcontractors who adhere to our high standards.

We also expect to develop internal expertise on the rapidly evolving legislation and regulation applicable to war refugee benefits and rebuilding.

The management company structure is intended to allow for it to initiate and manage a large number of individual projects giving Project Nadiya the capacity for nationwide scope.

TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE

Refugees are living in very difficult conditions in communal spaces such as schools and gyms.

Local communities are overwhelmed and are looking for solutions that will open up these common spaces for their intended use, and provide displaced persons with decent housing before Winter.

The ongoing refugee crisis is now a housing crisis that we hope to help alleviate as soon as possible.
